The Customer Relations Specialist is responsible for scheduling outpatient procedures throughout the Hospital. Liaisons and/or representatives for the Hospital by interacting with customers and physicians. Responsible for specific programs such as the Ellis Info line and EMG Call Center. Supports all programs relating to marketing strategies and the enhancement of customer satisfaction and positive Hospital image.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
+ 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills required.
+ Must be able to prioritize and adapt within a changing, fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, possesses excellent customer service skills, and professionally handles stressful situations.
Must be proficient with computers, software, telephones and basic office equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
+ Receive and process calls into the customer/referral line, as well as outbound calls to customers.
+ Receive and process EMG Call Center calls for physicians and physician offices and patients through various Hospital departments.
+ Instruct offices and patients as to the proper blood work, preparations, direction and instructions for various procedures.
+ Ensures all online requests are handled within 24 hours of the time they appear.
+ Schedule conference room requests.
+ Complete required training.
+ Adhere to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality.
+ Adhere to the Making Ellis Exceptional (MEE) Behaviors & Standards, and initiate, promote, and support change initiatives.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $ 16.24-$24.11/hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
