The Radiation Physics Outreach department provides essential services to ensure accurate and reliable equipment performance for healthcare and research applications. The team manages calibration processes, shipping and receiving, and customer support to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
The primary purpose of this position is to receive, check in, and ship calibration equipment while serving as the first point of contact for laboratory customers. This role supports administrative tasks, customer service, and equipment calibration to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
The ideal candidate has a Associate's or equivalent, with experience in shipping, receiving, and customer service. Familiarity with calibration processes and laboratory environments is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively are essential. Candidates should demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, standard business hours.
Hourly breakdown of salary range: Minimum $23.79 - Midpoint $29.81 - Maximum $35.82

Key Job Functions
* Perform contract review, open reports, inspect items for damage, and check in equipment.
* Disperse equipment to appropriate laboratory stations.
* Assist with mailing reports, service reminder letters, filing, and ordering supplies.
* Answer telephones, respond to emails, and represent the laboratory at meetings.
* Act as the front end of the laboratory to ensure customer needs are met.
* Receive and ship equipment, track shipments, and notify customers of status.
* Calibrate dosimetry equipment and prepare results reports.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Support team members and contribute to process improvements.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*EDUCATION*
* Required: Associate's Degree With emphasis in math, physics or related field.
* Preferred: Bachelor's Degree With emphasis in math, physics or related field.
*WORK EXPERIENCE*
* Required: 2 years Research, laboratory or related experience. or
* Required: With preferred degree, no experience required.
* Two additional years of experience may substitute for required education.
