Lap of Love is a national practice dedicated exclusively to in-home end-of-life care for pets. Position Description
Lap of Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice, headquartered in Lutz, FL., seeks to add a key member to its growing team by employing a dynamic Veterinary Recruiter to support our Veterinary Talent Acquisition team, an extension of Lap of Love’s Recruiting department. This individual will play an instrumental role in Lap of Love’s day-to-day operations by working alongside the leadership team to drive the organization’s veterinarian recruiting initiative.
This role involves guiding and encouraging inquiring veterinarians through the exploration process, hired veterinarians during onboarding and training, and welcoming newly hired doctors into Lap of Love as they begin to serve pets and families. As the lead contact within the exploration process, the Veterinary Recruiter is responsible for all tasks and follow-up communication being completed in a timely manner, as well as ensuring every inquiring doctor has a clear representation of our mission and core values, our associate doctors’ day-to-day lives, and feels excited to explore and potentially join the Lap of Love family.
Requirements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
+ Complete veterinary candidate phone interviews, gauging qualifications, skillset, presence, and values of exploring veterinarians
+ Take responsibility for recruiter pipeline key performance indicators to support weekly hiring goals
+ Provide veterinary candidates with insight surrounding Lap of Love's mission, our network of doctors, support system, training and guidance, associates’ schedules, and appointment expectations
+ Continuously engage with veterinary candidates on social media, hiring platforms, applicant tracking system, while at veterinary conferences, and work intimately with the marketing team to brainstorm recruiting initiatives and engagement opportunities
+ Answer candidates’ questions as well as logistical inquiries about the daily operations of a Lap of Love veterinarian
+ Assess candidates’ qualifications, taking into consideration their technical and communication skills, as well as cultural fit and passion for end-of-life care
+ Successfully communicate your candidate pipeline to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Recruiting, other Veterinary Hiring Managers, and leadership
+ Lead and engage in passive social media engagement within veterinary communities
+ Encourage current Lap of Love veterinarians to refer colleagues whom they believe would align with our mission and values
+ Ensure each new veterinarian is well-equipped and confident in their role
+ Welcome newly hired doctors through applicant tracking system
+ Support the Onboarding Specialists with communication as requested for individual doctors
+ Collaborate with the Marketing, Onboarding and Practice Development teams to stay aligned on current market needs
+ Participate and perform self-study in updated Lap of Love training programs and education
Experience, Education and Requirements:
+ Recruiting experience in the veterinary industry required
+ Demonstration of positive engagement with veterinarians on social media or other hiring platforms
+ Embody and possess the ability to champion Lap of Love’s core focus and values
+ Outstanding organizational, triaging, and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
+ Successful experience referring, empowering, and encouraging inquiring veterinarians
+ Ability to complete tasks at time of due date with attention to detail
+ Ability to successfully lead and inspire others
+ Implementation of continuous improvement methods via goal setting, performance evaluations, and ability to improve based upon team feedback and expectations
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment
+ Ability to adapt and remain efficient in a flexible schedule, and predominantly remote, work environment
+ Independent and self-motivated with the ability to work in a team-fostered environment, cultivating a strong company culture
+ Significant knowledge and confidence in end-of-life care, company processes, evolution, growth, and goals
Physical and Other Job Requirements:
+ Able to sit for prolonged periods of time of up to 8 hours per day
+ Able to frequently communicate by telephone and through use of computer technologies, including but not limited to email and video conferencing
+ Possess manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and the ability to operate a computer, read a computer screen and type on a keyboard for prolonged periods of time of up to 8 hours per day
+ Able to multitask using multiple computer tabs/platforms while engaging in conversation
+ Average or above average working knowledge of computers, email, video conferencing technologies, and digital medical records
+ Able to quickly learn custom software and other programs, such as Zoom, Sunshine, and Google Suite
+ Average or above average working knowledge of the internet and scheduling and communications applications and software, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and web-based communication platforms
+ Access to reliable and secure internet
+ Maintain confidentiality of all patient, client, and business information
+ Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines
