SALES & OPERATIONS PLANNER
ABOUT YOU:
As a Sales & Operations Planner, you will lead the alignment of demand, supply, and financial plans to ensure that Jostens can deliver products efficiently, on time, and profitably. You’ll serve as the integrator across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain, driving the monthly S&OP process, analyzing forecasts, and translating business inputs into a constrained, executable supply plan. Your ability to balance service levels, cost, inventory, and capacity will directly support revenue, margin, and customer success outcomes.
YOU WILL:
+ Lead Monthly Demand Planning. Own the monthly demand plan and integrate inputs from statistical forecasts, sales feedback, market trends, and customer signals.
+ Drive Forecast Accuracy. Monitor performance across 12–24 months and drive improvements to forecast accuracy and accountability.
+ Translate Demand into Supply. Develop constrained supply plans, identify gaps, and present planning scenarios to drive smart decision-making.
+ Balance Inventory Strategy. Make informed recommendations on inventory ownership, including make vs. buy decisions.
+ Facilitate S&OP Routines. Lead monthly planning routines tied to the annual planning calendar in partnership with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Procurement.
+ Align Production & Financial Goals. Reconcile production and purchasing plans against targets for financials, key initiatives, productivity, and margin.
+ Support Scenario Modeling. Act as a planning integrator for modeling shifts in capacity, demand, or inventory needs.
+ Maintain Planning Data. Ensure the accuracy of key planning parameters and data inputs across systems.
+ Report & Analyze Trends. Deliver reporting that supports business performance reviews and identify emerging risks or opportunities.
+ Drive Continuous Improvement. Establish best practices in the S&OP process and lead initiatives that improve planning effectiveness.
+ Collaborate with IT. Partner on tool optimization, including utilization and data maintenance in S&OP platforms.
+ Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 1 week per quarter of travel expected
YOU HAVE:
+ Education. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Certifications. APICS / ASCM credentials (CPIM, CSCP) or similar certifications.
+ S&OP Experience. 3–5+ years in S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, or a related supply chain function. Preferred b ackground in manufacturing, apparel, or seasonal/forecast-driven businesses.
+ Cross-Functional Planning Expertise. Strong understanding of the S&OP or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and cadence.
+ Analytical Skills. Proven ability to evaluate demand, supply, and capacity trade-offs and develop actionable plans.
+ Excel Proficiency. Strong skills in Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and advanced formulas. Preferred e xperience with Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboarding tools.
+ Clear Communicator. Ability to explain complex planning models and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders.
+ Problem Solver. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and scenario modeling skills.
+ Agile & Organized. Experience managing changing priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
+ Financial Alignment. Exposure to financial planning, annual operating plans (AOP), or budget alignment as part of S&OP.
+ Bilingual. English/Spanish proficiency is a plus
