In this role, you will:
+ Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and treatments for patients across the lifespan.
+ Develop individualized care plans and adjust them based on patient progress and changing needs.
+ Serve as a clinical resource for staff and participate in research initiatives.
+ Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
+ Educate patients and families with clear home instructions to support recovery.
You'll also have opportunities to mentor students, contribute to clinical education programs, and stay at the forefront of your profession through continuing education.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Maintain accurate documentation for all therapy services, including assessments, follow-ups, and discharge summaries.
+ Communicate patient status and progress with referring physicians and care teams.
+ Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and collaborate to ensure quality care.
+ Schedule patients to meet productivity standards while delivering exceptional care.
+ Participate in staff meetings, in-service education, and research projects.
+ Rotate through treatment areas as needed to support organizational needs.

Education:
+ Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by ACOTE.
Skills & Abilities:
+ Strong commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service.
+ Knowledge of human growth and development across the lifespan.
+ Ability to interpret medical records and apply clinical reasoning to complex cases.
+ Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with healthcare teams.
+ Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing patient needs and identify growth opportunities.
+ Active participation in professional organizations preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
+ Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice required.
+ CPR certification (AHA standards including didactic and skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
+ Occupational Therapist (OT)
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
