    Job Description

    Lead the build of world-class data centers in Saline, MI. As a _Senior Data Center Construction Manager_ , you’ll own large-scale, fast-paced projects from concept to commissioning—driving schedule, budget, quality, and safety with precision. You’ll lead cross-functional teams of project managers, commissioning specialists, and contractors; de-risk complexity; and keep execution tight through rigorous planning and on-site leadership. Your expertise in technical design, vendor management, and construction delivery will raise the bar on efficiency and sustainability.     _This role is onsite in Saline, Michigan and not open to remote work._

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Focus Area: Own the base building and MEP infrastructure scope, driving technical excellence and delivery.

    2. Project Oversight: Lead end-to-end construction by colocation providers, hitting schedule, budget, and quality targets.

    3. Schedule Management: Build and maintain detailed, milestone-driven schedules; keep providers on track to deliver.

    4. Risk Evaluation: Independently assess risk to on-time delivery, close gaps in mitigation, and brief the business on impacts.

    5. Tenant Fit-Out Integration: Orchestrate seamless integration of tenant fit-out with base building through design, construction, and commissioning.

    6. Quality Assurance: Enforce rigorous QA/QC processes to meet design intent and industry standards every step of the way.

    7. Design Coordination: Partner with design teams to ensure field execution aligns with approved drawings and specifications.

    8. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison with colocation providers, driving clear, timely, and action-oriented communication.

    9. Risk Management: Proactively identify threats to scope, cost, schedule, and safety; implement mitigation plans to protect outcomes.

    10. Compliance: Ensure all activities meet applicable codes, regulations, and Oracle standards.

    11. Provider Performance: Deliver ongoing, data-backed feedback on colocation providers to fuel continuous improvement.

    12. Site Presence: Conduct regular site visits to verify schedule adherence, coordination, safety, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

    Required Skills:

    1. Base Building Mastery: In-depth knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing for data center core and shell.

    2. Startup and Commissioning: Drive startup/commissioning plans, de-risk readiness, and accelerate handover on major data center programs.

    3. Problem-Solving: Anticipate issues early, analyze root causes fast, and implement durable, data-backed fixes in a high-velocity environment.

    4. Strategic Planning: Set program-level strategies, standards, and roadmaps that unlock predictable, repeatable delivery at scale.

    5. Technical Depth: Stay ahead on data center design, construction, and ops requirements—applying emerging tech and sustainable solutions.

    6. Project Management: Orchestrate large, complex builds end-to-end—owning scope, schedule, cost, quality, and change control.

    7. Leadership: Lead under pressure; coach, mentor, and elevate cross-functional teams to high performance and safety-first execution.

    8. Budget Ownership: Build and proactively manage budgets; optimize value, track variances, and capture savings without sacrificing quality.

    9. Risk Management: Identify risks early across cost, schedule, safety, and quality; run mitigation playbooks and contingency plans.

    10. Vendor Management: Strategically source, negotiate, and hold vendors/contractors accountable to SLAs, performance, and safety.

    11. Compliance: Navigate codes, standards, and Oracle policies with precision; audit and correct to maintain full compliance.

    12. Communication: Deliver crisp, actionable updates; align stakeholders and drive decisions with clear narrative and data.

    US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

     

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

     

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

    10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
