Resident Services Staff Educator
Full Time| Day Shift
Pay rate up to $91,828/hour

UMC is seeking a Resident Services Staff Educator (RN) to join our team at Bristol Glen, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen is thoughtfully designed to deliver person-directed care in a warm, home-like environment, ensuring exceptional quality of life for our residents.
Requirements for a Resident Services Staff Educator :
+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
+ Current RN license in good standing in New Jersey
+ 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in long-term care
+ Minimum 5 years of experience as a clinical nurse in long-term care
+ Experience working with the geriatric population
+ Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
+ Strong leadership and organizational skills
+ Demonstrated commitment to education as a tool for quality improvement
+ Basic proficiency with electronic mail and calendaring systems
Responsibilities for a Resident Services Staff Educator :
Education, Training & Compliance
+ Monitor compliance with mandatory in-services and regulatory education requirements in collaboration with the DRL/DON
+ Manage online and web-based training platforms, including assignment tracking and follow-up
+ Ensure completion of annual competencies for CNA, CMA, HHA, and LPN staff
+ Verify CNA annual 12-hour in-service requirements and CMA 10-hour medication requirements
+ Coordinate and conduct community-wide new hire orientation
+ Plan, organize, and implement ongoing clinical education and training programs
+ Maintain accurate orientation records and individual employee education files
+ Serve as the primary contact for clinical training partnerships and student placements
+ Conduct CPR certification courses
Clinical Leadership & Support
+ Oversee the medication administration program and delegation to CMAs in accordance with state guidelines
+ Assist with resident assessments and individualized service plans as delegated
+ Provide expert nursing care and serve as a mentor and role model to nursing staff
+ Support staff nurses, nurse mentors, CNAs, and caregivers through education, guidance, and problem resolution
+ Facilitate professional growth and clinical competency through bedside teaching, resident rounds, and educational programs
+ Assist with patient and family education initiatives
Additional Responsibilities
+ Coordinate mentor/orientee schedules and evaluate orientation progress
+ Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and regulatory changes
+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director
