    Join Our Team! Now Hiring a Full-Time Fleet Mechanic(1stShift | 6:30AM - 3:00PM)

     

    Fleet Mechanics are responsible for the Maintenance of Menard-owned equipment and vehicles. This is light duty, medium duty, and heavy-duty truck, trailer, and forklift repairs.

    PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:

    + Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair

    + Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts

    + Perform maintenance work to DOT standard for over the road equipment

    + Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment

    + General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units

    + Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections

    + Clean and maintain the work area and equipment

    + Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed

    Skills/Requirements

    Position Requirement:

    + Must have some direct mechanical experience or an accredited Technician Degree

    + Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

    + Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

    + Proficient welding and maintenance experience

    + Must be able to take direction from management and the ability to work independently

    + Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. occasionally
