RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads and assists in the development, and maintenance of database systems, reports, and analysis used by the Queen’s Clinical Integrated Physician Network (QCIPN) for network performance and population health initiatives including but not limited to benchmarking, care management, quality performance, risk adjustment, patient experience and access, and total cost of care.
• Provides expertise and guidance in database systems, including formulation of procedures and best practice for users, setting priorities and technical direction.
• Directs work of assigned staff.
• Monitors activities to ensure coordination and management of projects and work assignments meet established dates and timelines.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing and carrying items up to usual weight of 5 pounds.
• Continuous: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.
• Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body.
• Operates various office equipment such as computers, copiers, 10-key adding machine, typewriter, facsimile, telephone, shredder etc.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, public health, information systems, statistics, epidemiology, computer science, healthcare, or related field; or four (4) years experience performing quantitative and analytical type work in healthcare field may be substituted for educational requirement.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to education requirement, five (5) years work experience in performing quantitative and analytical type work with at least two (2) years experience in working with claims, electronic health record, and programming language (i.e. SAS, R, SQL).
• Two (2) years experience in healthcare or population health.
• Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with health care regulatory and clinical quality and risk measurements frameworks such as MIPS, HCCs, NCQA HEDIS,CORE measures, etc. preferred.
• Education/Understanding of analytics and statistics preferred.
• Experience with enterprise class database systems (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server) preferred.
• Experience with scorecard/dash boarding visualizations to sustain and drive process improvement preferred.
• Prior experience in leading projects and/or work streams and assignments preferred.
