Job Description
During the initial three-month contract, the consultant will act as A.O. Smith’s dedicated OneStream architect during the foundational implementation phase. They will participate intensively in design sessions with Deloitte and internal finance teams, ensuring the system is configured to meet A.O. Smith’s business needs and best practices. Responsibilities include leading technical decisions, advising on scalability, security, and data handling, and serving as the liaison between finance stakeholders and Deloitte. The role is 100% project-focused with no legacy system support. Travel to Nashville or Milwaukee is required during the first month for design workshops (estimated 30–40% of time), with remote work otherwise. This individual will serve as the sole owner and administrator of the OneStream platform post go-live, ensuring its stability, scalability, and alignment with evolving business needs. This role is critical to the success of our financial transformation strategy and will require close collaboration with our Systems Integrator during implementation and full accountability for the platform thereafter.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation Phase:
o Lead technical design and configuration in partnership with the Systems Integrator.
o Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable OneStream solutions.
o Oversee data integration with SAP ERP and other source systems.
o Participate in design reviews, testing cycles, and deployment planning.
o Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture and security standards.
Post Go-Live: Daily Operations & Maintenance:
o Administer all OneStream environments (Production, Development, Sandbox).
o Manage metadata, hierarchies, and dimensional structures.
o Execute and monitor scheduled and ad hoc data loads.
o Troubleshoot and resolve integration and transformation logic issues.
o Maintain and enhance data pipelines and connector configurations.
o Serve as the primary contact for OneStream support and issue resolution.
o Provide technical guidance to finance users and power users.
o Validate and test OneStream processes when changes occur in upstream/downstream systems.
o Copy data from Production to Non-production environment for accurate testing.
o Prepare test scenarios and scripts for testing.
o Represent changes to CAB and migrate changes after approval.
Quarterly Cloud Releases:
o Analyze release notes and assess impact on existing configurations.
o Conduct regression testing and sandbox validation.
o Coordinate production rollout and post-release monitoring.
o Communicate changes and new features to stakeholders.
Governance & Compliance:
o Maintain system documentation, configuration logs, and control matrices.
o Ensure SOX compliance and support internal/external audits.
o Manage user roles, security groups, and access controls.
o Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.

Skills and Requirements
o 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting OneStream.
o 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Planning & Consolidation systems.
o Strong understanding of financial processes (FP\&A, close, reconciliation).
o Experience with SAP BW, Power BI, and enterprise data integration.
o Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Visio.
o Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to lead design discussions and make strategic decisions. o Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Finance.
o Prior experience collaborating with Deloitte or similar consulting firms.
o Familiarity with global consolidation and planning environments.
