The organization is a leading financial services firm supporting philanthropy and donor-advised fund solutions within a broader enterprise footprint. The team builds new trade desks and customer-facing platforms, emphasizing Java-based test automation, RESTful services, and modern UI testing to ensure robust, secure, and maintainable software delivery.

Rate: $63.00 to $68.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

+ Use knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote sound engineering, bug prevention, testability, and security.

+ Participate in development by writing and maintaining application features and automated tests including unit, component, integration, functional, performance, scenario, and interoperability tests.

+ Develop reliable, portable, accurate, and trustworthy tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

+ Collaborate with team members to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.

+ Design and develop test automation for front-end applications and web services using Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient.

+ Participate in application and test code reviews with the Scrum team.

Experience Requirements:

+ Passion for manual and automated testing with a focus on delivering results.

+ Experience designing and building applications using test automation frameworks.

+ Multi-stack engineering background across Java, Groovy, Selenium, Geb, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTTP, and RESTful web services.

+ Extensive hands-on experience with Java and its ecosystem.

+ Commitment to Test Driven Development and writing testable, maintainable code.

+ Ability to work independently with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.

+ Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.

+ Ability to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly.

+ Interest in learning and adopting new technologies.

+ Ability to work with remote and international team members.

+ Experience with SQL programming and data use.

+ 4 to 9 years testing and automating front-end and web service applications.

+ Working experience with OOP languages such as Java, C#, or Groovy, plus HTTP, RESTful services, Jenkins, and Git.

+ Cloud application testing experience, with AWS preferred.

+ Preferred: Experience with UI test automation tools such as Selenium or Protractor.

+ Preferred: Experience testing and automating web services using HttpClient, RestAssured, JMeter, or SoapUI.

+ Preferred: Experience investigating and debugging issues with front-end applications and web services.

+ Preferred: Experience testing Angular web applications.

+ Preferred: Knowledge of software engineering practices across the SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

+ Preferred: Experience delivering software in an Agile environment.

Education Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

+ Preferred: Familiarity with AWS as a cloud platform.
