    Job Description

    We’re seeking a highly skilled Linux Engineer with expertise in Linux administration, AWS cloud services, virtualization technologies, and storage solutions. This person will manage Linux OS environments and support Oracle Linux for database teams, while handling developer access requests and system patching. They will also oversee vulnerability remediation, storage expansions, and virtual disk configurations, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain performance and reliability.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Administer and maintain Linux environments (Red Hat and Oracle Linux), including patching and vulnerability remediation.

    • Support database teams and developers with access, permissions, and troubleshooting in Linux systems.

    • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware and Oracle) and assist with system provisioning and performance optimization.

    • Oversee storage infrastructure, including Pure Storage, SAN networking, NetApp, and virtual disk expansions.

    • Implement and maintain AWS cloud services (EC2, backups, and infrastructure-as-a-service).

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system reliability, security compliance, and scalability.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Strong Linux administration expertise (Red Hat and Oracle Linux) with troubleshooting and system design capabilities.

    • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, backups, and infrastructure-as-a-service).

    • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, primarily VMware; Oracle virtualization is a plus.

    • Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (Pure Storage, SAN networking, NetApp) and disk management (LVS).

    • Understanding of patching, vulnerability remediation, and security best practices.

    • Ability to collaborate across teams and provide support for database and development environments • Experience with xGrid and NetBackup (or willingness to learn)

    • Junior-level VMware experience acceptable if strong Linux and AWS skills are present
