    Job Description:

    + Creates, plans, implements, and coordinates orientation for individuals new to the nursing unit/department using the ANPD standards of practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation with the NPD Practice model using inputs, throughputs, and outcomes to ensure a systematic approach to onboarding orientation.

    + Adjusts implementation strategies as needed based on the learner’s developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language, and cultural preferences.

    + Engages learners in planned educational activities through use of effective facilitation skills

    + Creates, plans, implements, and coordinates activities related to training of new graduates, experienced nurses, and ancillary staff new to the unit/department based on collection of data that is used systematically and purposefully to ensure relevant and evidence-based learning for each clinician.

    + Develop/coordinates education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation.
