Contract Administration Function:
+ Learn to perform daily and routing work assisting with the inspection of construction plans according to MnDOT standards including materials testing and documentation
+ Learn to perform routing field testing of construction materials (i.t. grading and base, bituminous, concrete), analyze test results, verify material quality and determine if construction materials meet MnDOT Specifications.
+ Learn to perform design duties as instructed by the Project Engineer/Supervisor or take direction from the District 8 Design Squad.
Minimum Qualifications
**Licensure:** A valid MN Class “D” Driver’s license
**Exam Part 1 – Experience:** The level of experience to perform this job and be achieved with the following:
+ Must obtain Aggregate Production Certification within one year of hire.
+ Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak, and understand oral and written information; communicate with employees and the general public in-person or via two-way radio and other electronic devices; and to maintain routing written logs and simple records.
**Exam Part 2:** Applicants that are made a contingent job offer will be invited to take a computerized Math and Reading Assessment Test. The required passing score for the Math portion is a level 5 or higher and the Reading portion is a level 5 or higher. (Acceptance of the offer is contingent on passing a math and reading assessment test.) If you’ve previously taken and passed the math and reading assessments, you may be exempt from retesting. Please check with your district HR office.

+ Previous MnDOT experience working as a Laborer, Transportation Associate or Transportation Generalist
