We are seeking an experienced **Platform Business Analyst** with a strong background in Biology and hands-on experience in Drug Discovery projects.

The successful candidate will join the APD platform team, focusing on Biologics Process Development (BPD). This role requires close collaboration with scientific business stakeholders, acting as the IT liaison to support and enhance drug discovery processes.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and mentor business analysts within the APD platform, focusing on BPD initiatives

+ Collaborate with scientists and stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges in biologics process development

+ Conduct stakeholder interviews, build strong relationships with scientific teams, and act as a trusted IT partner

+ Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews to elicit, analyse, and document business and scientific requirements

+ Translate scientific and business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams

+ Oversee the development of business cases, process maps, and workflow diagrams specific to drug discovery and biologics

+ Ensure requirements are clearly communicated, understood, and agreed upon by all stakeholders

+ Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle

+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend technology solutions to support scientific objectives

+ Support project managers in planning, execution, and delivery of platform projects

+ Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies related to drug discovery processes

+ Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and documentation to stakeholders and senior management

+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in pharmaceuticals and biologics

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related life sciences field (Master’s preferred)

+ Hands-on practical experience running Drug Discovery projects related to Biology

+ 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role

+ Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

+ Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, UML, Agile, Waterfall)

+ Experience with requirements management, process modelling, and solution design in scientific environments

+ Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

+ Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus

+ Excellent verbal and written communication

+ Strong analytical and critical thinking

+ Team leadership and mentoring

+ Stakeholder engagement, especially with scientific teams

+ Project management support

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000.
