The Position:
The Manager, Consumer Insights (Content & Audience Intelligence) supports forward-looking projects that deepen understanding of audiences, content opportunities, title level tracking, and cultural trends across NBC Entertainment and Peacock.
This role is hands‑on, collaborating closely with partners across Content Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Media Analytics, Sports Insights, Content Analytics, and the broader Consumer Insights team to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations. This role helps bring the voice of the consumer into business decision‑making and ensures insights are synthesized, packaged, and delivered with clarity and impact. Based in Los Angeles, this role reports directly to the Director, Consumer Insights (Content & Audience Intelligence).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Help design and execute all phases of research workstreams, including writing briefs, drafting surveys and discussion guides, completing analysis, developing insight narratives, and presenting findings.
+ Research deep dives will include key areas such as audience segments, genre fandoms, sports cohorts, and franchise/IP or platform insights.
+ Oversee weekly title level tracking to deliver a comprehensive view of internal and external content performance.
+ Craft memos that set performance expectations and synthesize key learnings across the lifecycle of a title.
+ Continuously look for ways to uplevel insights, deliver timely signals, and drive strategic recommendations.
+ Collaborate with Content Insights, Strategy, Analytics, and Data Science partners to tell holistic stories about titles, audience needs, behaviors, and opportunities.
+ Help foster a consumer‑centric culture by bringing human insights and the voice of the consumer into briefs, recommendations, and decisions.
+ Leverage innovative research methodologies and AI-enabled tools streamline repeatable workflows (e.g., survey design, coding, synthesis, visualization)
+ Synthesize qualitative, quantitative, and first-party signals into clear insights that surface audience motivations, needs, and opportunities to drive fandom, loyalty, and long-term value.
+ Build trusted stakeholder relationships by delivering clear, timely updates and tailoring insights to needs.
+ Support management of relationships with external research agencies and vendors, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or audience strategy within entertainment, streaming media, or a related industry.
+ Hands‑on experience with quantitative (e.g., surveys, correlation analysis, segmentation) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups, ethnography) research methodologies.
+ Experience coordinating and maintaining ongoing tracker programs (in-house or syndicated).
+ Skilled at digging into data to identify trends and insights beyond what’s visible on the surface.
+ Ability to synthesize first‑, second‑, and third‑party data into clear, actionable insights. Experience collaborating with analytics teams to integrate these datasets and make recommendations together.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting insights to cross‑functional partners.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
+ Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
+ A genuine passion for entertainment and media, coupled with a deep curiosity about culture and trends as they relate to content and audiences. You also keep a pulse on industry trends and competitive dynamics.

+ Proficiency in survey research tools (e.g., Qualtrics) and analysis tools (e.g., SPSS).
+ Experience leveraging innovative tools, including AI, to automate and streamline research workflows and visualization (e.g., Tableau, Excel, R/Python).
+ Interest in emerging research technologies, trends, and innovative methodologies.
Additional Requirements:
+ Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
