_This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Brentwood, TN._
The Managing Director, Program Management is responsible for leading CoreCivic's
Program Management Office function, ensuring industry best practices are leveraged
and managing the full lifecycle of programs and projects to achieve on-time,
within budget, and with the highest quality results. Creates and leads a Six Sigma process
discipline and team that ensures focus on business process optimization across
all programs and projects. Ensures projects are administered and monitored such
that objectives, cost, quality, schedule, and benefits realization are
controlled and achieved. Manages the
primary metrics for measuring the effectiveness of a PMO for on-time,
on-budget, and on-scope project delivery. Measures overall satisfaction of internal and
external customers and serves as a proactive agent for change within the
company. Ensures that all projects
adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for project management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The incumbent should be able to perform the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.
+ Assembles and manages a cohesive team of Project Management professionals capable of executing both technical and non-technical projects across all lines of business within the company.
+ Leads CoreCivic's annual CAPX budgeting process by providing assistance to project requestors in the areas of project definition, scope, budget, ROI, alignment with corporate goals, and value driven prioritization.
+ Manages the successful execution of the Project Portfolio assigned to the PMO by the Technology Steering Committee (TSC) and/or senior management.
+ Provides regular, formal status on the Portfolio to TSC and all project stakeholders.
+ Ensures the successful implementation of the PMO's strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables via the PMO Methodology and in conjunction with the TSC.
+ Communicates technology plans, risks, and issues to executive management and customer departments in a clear, straightforward and professional manner.
+ Develops and ensures compliance with general controls in the areas of responsibility (including SOX compliance) and ensures projects comply with cyber security standards.
+ Supervises staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy.This includes but is not limited to: training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance appraisals, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules for staff and approving leave requests.
+ Maintains relationships with customer departments and ensures all support is provided in the context of assisting application users succeed in their business goals.
+ Creates and leads a business process optimization function leveraging Six Sigma and Lean principles to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization.
+ Negotiates and manages relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
+ Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Graduate from an accredited college or university with aBachelor’s degree is required.
+ A Master'sor other advanced degree in the area of Technology/Business Managementpreferred.
+ 10+ years of experienceshowing increasing responsibility for building and managing a Program/Projectmanagement team.
+ Six Sigma Black Belt certification and proven experiencecreating and leading a business process optimization function is required.
+ Directproject management experience with a regional/national consulting organizationis preferred.
+ PMP certificationpreferred.
+ Vendor management experience preferred.
+ Abilityto communicate effectively (verbal, written and via email) and lead teammembers to successful outcomes.
+ Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and negotiating skills.
+ Ability to relate business requirements andrisks to technology implementations.
+ Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications.
