Seeking an experienced Credit Analyst/Portfolio Manager to underwrite and actively engage with Broadly Syndicated Loans (BSL) CLO Managers. The role spans full lifecycle ownership— pre-purchase due diligence through approval, closing, and ongoing monitoring—while partnering with internal risk teams, operations and trading to optimize risk‑adjusted returns and meet portfolio objectives.
One will build and maintain robust financial models, evaluate refis, resets, paydowns, monthly surveillance, quarterly reporting, manager relationship, size positions relative to risk appetite, and proactively manage credits through market cycles. Success requires deep knowledge of credit documentation, syndicated market dynamics, and portfolio risk management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Lead underwriting for new issue and secondary BSL CLO opportunities; prepare comprehensive credit memos (business overview, industry assessment, sponsor thesis, comps, model outputs, capital structure, documentation review, risks/mitigants).
2. Ongoing performance monitoring: monthly/quarterly reviews, risk rating calibration, covenant/election tracking, and event watchlists.
3. Identify deteriorating credits early; drive remedial actions with Managers and have consistent communications with the Managers.
4. Manage and continue to build relationships within the CLO Manager universe
5. Drive communications by bringing a real time market perspective to other team members, further aligning opportunities in the market with portfolio objectives
6. Continuously broaden and deepen expertise in structured finance asset classes appropriate for banking and depository institutions.
8. Monitor markets – rates, monetary / fiscal policy, dealer research / credit / economic trends
9. Read and analyze published financial information and dealer research that is applicable
10. Perform other analytical activities and perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. 5–8+ years of experience in Credit Analysis, Leveraged Finance, BSL underwriting, or Loan Portfolio Management (buy‑side or sell‑side).
2. Strong command of credit agreements and syndicated loan documentation (covenants, baskets, collateral/security, intercreditor).
3. Proven track record managing active BSL portfolios: amendments/waivers, event risk management, and rating migration oversight.
4. Proficiency with market and risk systems: Bloomberg, Loan IQ/Intex, Moody’s/S&P tools, internal rating systems, and Excel/PowerPoint.
5 Excellent communications: concise memo writing, committee presentations, and cross‑functional stakeholder management.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex materials to a diverse audience
7. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment and a desire to work on a wide range of projects
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent education, e.g. MS Economics or Finance and / or quantitative graduate degree
2. Demonstrated experience and understanding of structured products
3. Experience with sponsor‑backed leveraged loans, CLO market dynamics, and secondary trading protocols.
4. Proficient with Bloomberg/TOMs, Trade Web and other operation systems
5. Familiarity with sector coverage (e.g., Healthcare, Tech/Software, Industrials, Consumer, Energy).
6. Certifications: CFA (preferred), FRM (plus), or equivalent.
