Pay Range:

$21.62 – $27.02 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

Kelly Services is seeking a **3rd Shift Machinist** to set up and operate CNC production machines in a manufacturing environment. This role involves producing precision parts by working from blueprints, sketches, and route sheets while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate one or more CNC production machines

+ Perform machining operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, and reaming

+ Conduct secondary operations including tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring to close tolerances

+ Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to ensure quality parts per documentation

+ Perform rework as required

+ Accurately complete Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks per requirements

+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

+ Follow all safety policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent (Machinist Certificate preferred)

+ 1–3 years of related machining experience preferred

+ Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics, including basic trigonometry

+ CNC and/or manual machining experience

+ Experience setting up machines and making tool/work offsets

+ Ability to read and edit G/M-code (FANUC control experience a plus)

+ Proficiency using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges
