Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Hardware Engineer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you’ll do:

The Cybersecurity Engineer will be part of a global team of security experts in driving cybersecurity initiative in Eaton product solutions.

The Cybersecurity Engineer will support our Product Cybersecurity CoE mission by performing research and development, product/solution evaluations and design reviews, coding and scripting and procedure development for new cyber tools and automation, scanning and associated analysis. Duties will also include managing lab environments and small projects, idea/concept generation, participating in product assessment planning and reviews.

In this position you will:

+ Participate in product assessment planning and reviews

+ Review hardware components and hardware-based security solutions used in Eaton products.

+ Take part of architectural reviews of the solutions such as hardware root of trust, secure boot etc. on various platforms.

+ Perform Threat Analysis, Risk Assessment, Requirement identification & Penetration Testing on existing and upcoming Eaton products, solutions & services.

+ Support the certification OR compliance of Eaton products under schemes like UL2900, IEC62443 and other emerging standards.

+ Build tools, scripts, and automation frameworks around security to achieve Eaton-scale impact.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in computing security, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on cybersecurity or currently enrolled with anticipated graduation no later than May, 2026

+ No relocation is being offered for this role. Applicants must reside within a 50 mile radius of Moon Township, PA to be considered. Active duty military candidates are exempt from this requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of hardware debugging, basic board discovery skills, usage of multimeter, soldering kits etc.

+ Experience with anyone scripting language and programming skills in Python/ Java

+ Strong passion towards learning hardware and embedded security, new techniques, tools etc.

+ Ability to understand technical security concepts in depth and be able to apply those concepts to Eaton products for cybersecurity assessments.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
