Houston Methodist Baytown is seeking a General Surgeon to join its expanding practice of 4 physicians. Located just 24 miles from downtown Houston, this is an excellent opportunity to join the #1 Hospital System in TX and the areas only full-service hospital specializing in medical care for patients at every stage in life.

Primary focus on **unplanned and urgent general surgery** , including:

+ Emergency general surgery (EGS):

+ Acute appendicitis

+ Cholecystitis

+ Small bowel obstruction

+ Perforated viscus

+ GI bleeding requiring operative intervention

+ Soft tissue infections and abscesses

+ Hernias (urgent/emergent)

Opportunity Highlights

+ Multidisciplinary collaboration with ED, hospitalists, ICU, anesthesia, radiology, and nursing

+ APP Support

+ Shared call rotation

Qualifications:

+ Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery

+ Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.

+ Candidates with experience or new residents/fellows are welcome to apply.
