    Opportunity Overview

     

    As a Material/Production Planner, you will be responsible for supporting production activities in the Process Lab by managing material flow, issuing work orders, and collaborating closely with engineers and technicians. Your focus will be on ensuring a smooth material flow and timely availability of materials in support of production schedules and operational goals. This role is critical to maintaining efficient production processes and supporting the success of our manufacturing operations within the Process Lab environment.

     

    This position in onsite in North Reading, MA

    Responsibilities include:

    + Issuing and tracking work orders to support ongoing production activities.

    + Assisting with receiving, kitting, and staging materials for production use.

    + Reviewing and interpreting multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production assemblies and projects.

    + Monitoring material inventory levels using ERP/MRP and inventory management systems and proactively identifying and resolving material shortages in collaboration with production and lab staff.

    + Coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of required materials for scheduled builds.

    + Reporting build status and material readiness to the development team and management.

    + Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing best practices in material planning and inventory management to streamline material flow and reduce waste.

    + Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and escalating material or scheduling issues when needed.

    + Assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory audits as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.

    + Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

    + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear collaboration with cross-functional teams.

    + Proficiency with advanced data‑analysis tools, including Excel PivotTables, Pareto charts, and basic regression analysis to support accurate reporting and data‑driven decision‑making.

    + Proficiency with standard office software (such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP/MRP systems); prior experience with inventory management tools is an asset.

    + A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    Compensation:

    The base salary range for this role is $55,000-$80,700. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

     

    Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.

     

    ITAR Restriction: All candidates for this ITAR restricted position must be one of the following: US Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, Refugee or otherwise lawfully admitted under an amnesty program.

     

    FOUO Designation: This position may require access to work under Federal Contracts under the "For Official Use Only" designation, and as such, you may be limited to access such programs if you are not a US citizen or if you have dual citizenship.
