Direct Hire for a Grant and Apprenticeship Coordinator (Part-Time, 20 hours/week)
Position Summary
Grant and Apprenticeship Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and managing both grant-funded initiatives and apprenticeship programs. This position ensures compliance with all programmatic and fiscal requirements, acts as a liaison between internal departments, educational partners, and industry stakeholders, and supports the recruitment and progress of apprentices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Grant Management and Administration:
• Assist with preparing, writing, and submitting grant proposals, including developing detailed budgets and gathering supporting documentation.
• Monitor grant expenditures and ensure compliance with all funding requirements, guidelines, and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit all required grant reports (technical, statistical, and narrative) to funders and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all grant-related documentation, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
Apprenticeship Program Coordination:
• Coordinate the end-to-end apprenticeship cycle, including recruitment, selection, enrollment, training, and completion.
• Act as a primary liaison between apprentices, employers, educational institutions, and workforce development entities to facilitate effective program implementation.
• Monitor and support the apprentices' academic progress and career development, conducting site visits and regular reviews as needed.
• Ensure all apprenticeship activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and standards (e.g., JATC Policies & Procedures, BOLI/ATD standards). General Duties:
• Utilize and maintain various databases and grant/apprenticeship management software for data tracking and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, always projecting a professional image.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Attend required staff meetings, professional development workshops, and other relevant events.
Qualifications and Skills
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Human Resources, Education, Nonprofit Management) or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience: o Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, or related project management.
• Experience in program coordination, workforce development, or education, preferably involving apprenticeship or mentorship programs.
• Proven track record of managing administration.
**Skills & Abilities** :
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. o Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant/data management software.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and organizations. o Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn apprenticeship regulations and compliance requirements. Work Environment & Physical Demands
• This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours per week. • Work is typically performed in an office setting but may require travel to various partner locations, industry sites, meetings, and events.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. • Requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods, use standard office equipment, and occasionally lift light to moderate weights.
**Pay Details:** $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
