Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Student Nurse, you will make the pivotal transition from student to professional nurse, building trust with your clinical preceptor and patients as you apply classroom concepts in a real-time, supportive environment. Our comprehensive residency program is designed to establish you as a reliable resource and helpful supporter for patients and families.

Every day you will practice essential nursing skills, collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals, and contribute to patient care plans, actively applying your foundational knowledge in a dynamic clinical setting.

+ Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained

+ Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care

+ Identifies self by name and title to patient/family

+ Maintains confidentiality of patient information

+ Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified

+ Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee

Job Requirements

Required

+ Certificate Other State of California Nursing Assistant Certification or enrolled in the Psych Tech program or enrolled in current nursing program, or in the nursing enrollment track with successful completion of TEAS score greater than 62 and completion of at least 4 nursing prerequisites (must submit college transcripts if on the nursing enrollment track)

+ Basic Life Support - CPR

Preferred

+ One year of acute care experience

Pay Range

$24.00 - $26.09 /hour
