Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Freeland, Washington. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to handle a variety of tax-related tasks, including individual returns and corporate filings. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse tax forms and structures, making it ideal for someone with a strong background in tax preparation.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
• Handle corporate tax filings, including C-Corp and S-Corp returns, with thorough knowledge of applicable tax codes.
• Manage partnership tax filings and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
• Utilize CCH Prosystem software to streamline tax preparation processes and maintain organized records.
• Conduct detailed reviews of completed tax returns to identify and correct any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide clear communication regarding tax requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all filings.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive client information throughout the tax preparation process.
• Provide guidance and support to clients on tax-related matters, addressing questions and concerns promptly. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate filings.
• Proficiency in using CCH Prosystem software for tax-related tasks.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tax forms such as 1040, C-Corp, S-Corp, and partnership returns.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate tax preparation.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and explaining tax concepts.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
