Description
We are looking for a skilled Property Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of residential properties in Los Angeles, California. This contract position offers the potential for long-term employment and requires an individual with experience in affordable property management, particularly with HUD housing. Candidates with general property management expertise are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily operations of assigned residential and commercial properties, ensuring all systems run efficiently.
• Oversee tenant relations, including lease agreements, rent collection, and addressing inquiries or complaints.
• Ensure compliance with HUD housing regulations and other relevant legal requirements.
• Coordinate property maintenance and repair activities, working with contractors and vendors as needed.
• Monitor financial performance of properties, preparing reports and managing budgets.
• Implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates and minimize vacancies.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure proper upkeep and compliance with safety standards.
• Manage marketing activities to attract and retain tenants.
• Handle emergency situations promptly, ensuring tenant safety and property preservation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure operational excellence.
Requirements
• Proven experience in affordable property management, including residential properties.
• Familiarity with HUD housing regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for tenant and stakeholder interactions.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and property expenses efficiently.
• Knowledge of property maintenance processes and vendor management.
• Proficiency in property management software and tools.
• Problem-solving skills to address tenant issues and emergencies effectively.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to oversee multiple properties.
