Description
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional support to patients by managing their registration, scheduling, and insurance verification processes. Responsibilities:
• Facilitate patient registration by gathering and verifying required information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide assistance to patients with inquiries and guide them through the registration and scheduling processes.
• Coordinate patient appointments efficiently, ensuring timely scheduling and communication.
• Verify medical insurance coverage and eligibility, addressing discrepancies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and updates in the system.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to streamline patient access and improve service delivery.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure a positive experience and address any concerns.
• Uphold confidentiality and security standards when handling sensitive patient data.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to patient access processes to maintain smooth operations.
• Participate in training sessions and stay informed about healthcare policies and procedures.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in patient access, registration, or similar roles within the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in medical insurance verification and understanding of healthcare systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff.
• Familiarity with scheduling systems and patient management software.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive patient information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
