Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with expertise in financial reporting and accounting processes. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in adherence to accounting standards.

• Execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

• Investigate and resolve balance sheet discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

• Analyze financial performance and provide detailed explanations to management.

• Assist in creating budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses to support strategic planning.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and industry regulations.

• Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory bodies to complete compliance tasks.

• Guide and mentor entry-level accounting staff to enhance team performance.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and streamline accounting workflows.

• Partner with various departments to ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.

• Ability to analyze financial data and present insights to management.

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.

• Familiarity with internal controls and regulatory standards.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

• Proven ability to mentor and guide entry-level staff in accounting practices.
