Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to managing vendor relationships on a global scale while ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate records, analyzing complex data, and collaborating with teams across different regions.

A/P Responsibilities:

• Assign and manage vendor numbers in alignment with company policies and procedures.

• Oversee the Vendor Master File, ensuring timely and accurate updates.

• Analyze daily vendor change reports and confirm modifications within global systems.

• Communicate effectively with internal departments and international offices to resolve inquiries.

• Review invoices for accuracy and compliance before processing.

• Investigate and input detailed data for complex invoices.

• Support the preparation of monthly Debit Balance reports and vendor files for tax documentation.

• Address discrepancies related to regulatory compliance, including B-Notices and tax issues.

• Validate vendor records with appropriate regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to tax requirements.

• Reconcile vendor statements and provide backup for team members as needed.

Requirements

Accounts Payable Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and reconciliation.

• Proficient in financial software such as Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of vendor risk management and fraud prevention.

• Ability to perform accurate data entry and handle complex invoice processing.

• Familiarity with tax documentation and regulatory compliance.

• Skilled in conducting 3-way matching and bank reconciliations.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills across internal and international teams.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
