Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team just outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In this role, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of accounting, including general ledger, fixed assets, and tax-related responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.

• Perform account reconciliations and analyze discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capital budgeting, asset lifecycle management, and disposition.

• Handle treasury functions and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Manage sales and use tax filings as well as income and property tax compliance.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any outstanding issues.

• Collaborate with shared services to streamline accounting procedures and maintain efficiency.

• Identify and address gaps in historical accounting methodologies to improve processes.

• Provide support for audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.

• Strong understanding of general ledger functions and fixed asset accounting.

• Experience with sales tax, use tax, and property tax compliance.

• Ability to perform detailed account reconciliations and journal entries.

• Knowledge of treasury functions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Detail-oriented approach with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
