    Description

    Robert Half Technology is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Analyst to join our team and provide hands-on technical support to a client in local government. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working directly with end users, assisting with IT operations, and contributing to IT projects in a municipal environment.

     

    Duration: 1-month contract with potential to extend or convert

     

    Pay rate: up to $32/hourly

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide end-user support and respond to service tickets across three city facilities.

    + Support desktop and mobile device management, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

    + Assist with endpoint support and ensure devices are properly configured and maintained.

    + Collaborate closely with the IT Manager to support daily IT operations and project initiatives.

    + Help move IT projects forward and contribute to stabilizing IT processes.

    Requirements

    + 3–4 years of experience in technology or IT support.

    + At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365.

    + Strong experience supporting Windows OS environments.

    + Tier 1 support experience, including end-user troubleshooting.

    + Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user permissions and Group Policy.

    + Experience using ticketing systems.

    + Valid driver’s license (travel between facilities required).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Prior experience working in a municipal or city government environment.

    Soft Skills:

    + Strong customer service mindset with a white-glove approach.

    + Ability to work effectively with a wide range of users and stakeholders.

    + Comfortable supporting end users in a visible, in-person environment.
