    We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee the building of a new visitor center at Lake Red Rock and the subsequent demolition of the existing building. This project is expected to last until the spring of 2027. The role includes managing all project phases from preconstruction to close-out, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position offers a choice between an hourly or salary pay structure and includes benefits such as a full per diem for lodging and meals, a negotiable home rotation stipend, and PTO.

    Responsibilities

    + Review plans and specifications for general familiarization during the pre-construction phase.

    + Conduct pre-construction and safety meetings with the Project Manager.

    + Implement and manage the Four Point Quality Control Plan.

    + Initiate and coordinate mobilization of equipment and personnel.

    + Finalize the schedule with the Project Manager.

    + Establish and verify the quality control program during construction.

    + Maintain and enforce the safety program.

    + Conduct daily inspections and monitor the daily task schedule.

    + Oversee the subcontractor labor force and conduct weekly meetings.

    + Schedule and coordinate inspections and testing.

    + Indoctrinate all new employees and visitors to the site.

    + Maintain all required documentation and correspondence between client, main office, and subcontractor.

    + Upload daily and weekly logs and inspection sheets to the electronic project file.

    + Execute and monitor the project safety plan.

    + Schedule and coordinate punch list work during construction close-out.

    + Coordinate the timely completion of as-builts.

    + Review and hand-deliver close-out documents to the Project Manager.

    + Close all site files, notes, and documentation, and coordinate demobilization of equipment and personnel.

    Essential Skills

    + 10+ years of federal vertical construction experience as a superintendent.

    + Procedural experience and knowledge of construction trades.

    + OSHA 30 certification.

    + Quality Control Management certification from USACE.

    + Professional experience using Procore.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Procore and Bluebeam software.

    + Knowledge of federal construction regulations.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. The position offers a 9-month contract-to-hire or a long-term contract, depending on candidate preference. The role includes a full per diem for lodging and meals from Monday through Friday, with lodging covered on weekends if travel home is not feasible. The position provides two weeks of accrued paid time off and six main holidays.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00/hr.
