    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled BIM Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the design and documentation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit within a consulting engineering environment. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other BIM staff to develop accurate, coordinated, and constructible 3D models and drawings. Your expertise will ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards, adhere to company BIM protocols, and align with client requirements. This position primarily supports mechanical HVAC design and piping/plumbing design in various projects, including healthcare, government/municipal, higher education, and multi-family projects across the country.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop detailed Revit models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on engineering markups, sketches, and design criteria.

    + Produce construction documents including plans, sections, schedules, and details.

    + Coordinate models with other disciplines to identify and resolve clashes using BIM tools and workflows.

    + Maintain project BIM standards and ensure consistent application across all deliverables.

    + Assist engineers with design updates by incorporating revisions quickly and accurately.

    + Support BIM workflow improvements through template updates, content creation, and process refinement.

    + Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality output.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of BIM experience within the Mechanical/Piping/Plumbing field (electrical experience is also considered).

    + Understanding of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing design principles within building systems.

    + Proficiency in Revit for modeling MEP systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

    + Passionate about community involvement and philanthropy.

    + Ability to plot one's own course in a smaller MEP team focused on growth and development.

    + Experience in sustainable design practices.

    Work Environment

    Our office, located downtown, is newly renovated and offers a modern, open concept with cubicles and glass-walled offices. The MEP team has a dedicated area fostering collaboration. Parking is convenient with street options and a garage available. The office includes a gym and is expanding. We offer a business casual dress code and a first shift position with flexible start and end times between 7-9 AM to 4-6 PM. Potential hybrid work flexibility is available after the first 90 days. Our team culture is energetic, youthful, and growth-oriented, with opportunities for professional development through company-paid trainings and certifications.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
