Job Title: Survey CAD Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Survey CAD Technician to perform topographic, construction, boundary, and right-of-way surveys. You will be responsible for performing calculations to determine traverse closures, traverse adjustments, field note reductions, boundary analysis and construction, deed sketches, area calculations, and alignments. Additionally, you will review and check work for quality control, prepare metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, and conduct deed research. You will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, identifying possible problems and conflicts, and bringing them to the supervisor’s attention.
Responsibilities
+ Perform topographic, construction, boundary, and right-of-way surveys.
+ Calculate traverse closures, traverse adjustments, field note reductions, and boundary analysis.
+ Prepare deed sketches, area calculations, and alignments.
+ Review and check work for quality control.
+ Prepare metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects.
+ Conduct deed research.
+ Work under the supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
+ Identify and report possible problems and conflicts to the supervisor.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Survey CAD.
+ Experience in surveying, design, drafting, and topographic surveys.
+ Familiarity with TDOT survey deliverables.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Ability to self-motivate.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
+ 1+ years of relevant experience.
+ Must have a valid driver's license.
+ High proficiency using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads.
Work Environment
Our work environment offers billed back PTO and holidays, with remote opportunities available. We provide opportunities for advancement within the drafting department. The role requires a high degree of proficiency with tools and technology used in surveying, including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
