Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer responsible for client interface, managing projects, and ensuring effective communication. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, engineering, or subcontracting, and will be proficient in Excel and general computer applications.

Responsibilities

+ Interface with clients and manage project expectations.

+ Utilize interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships.

+ Apply technical skills in construction and project engineering, including proficiency in Bluebeam.

+ Organize tasks efficiently, prioritize based on customer needs, and manage a to-do list effectively.

+ Communicate clearly and articulate thoughts well.

+ Demonstrate teachability and a willingness to learn unique processes.

+ Be prepared to step into a Project Management role, exceeding typical PE/APM responsibilities.

+ Work closely with specialized teams to perform tasks directly for clients.

+ Support projects involving large steel structure construction, separate from building structures.

Essential Skills

+ 0–3 years of experience in project management.

+ Engineering degree in any discipline (except IT) or a construction management degree.

+ GPA of 3.0 or higher.

+ Basic proficiency in Bluebeam.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as a project coordinator with 3+ years is also acceptable.

+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

+ Extroverted personality with strong communication skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in-office, with potential travel to out-of-state job sites, averaging slightly more than one trip per month (typically 1–2 nights). The work environment is laid-back and less formal, with a team atmosphere where jeans and tennis shoes are the norm. The company prides itself on a culture of teachability and willingness to learn.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $43.00/hr.
