    Job Description

    We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as we continue to provide advanced electronics and subsystems for cutting-edge satellite programs. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a fast-paced environment with excellent opportunities for long-term professional growth. You will significantly enhance your skillset and knowledge base as you engage with all aspects of the product lifecycle, from requirements development to production.

    Responsibilities

    + Engage in design, analysis, prototype, and testing tasks.

    + Contribute to all phases of the product lifecycle: requirements development, preliminary design, critical design, prototype, test, and production.

    + Work relatively independently on assignments, with guidance from Senior-level engineers for complex design, analysis, or testing programs.

    Essential Skills

    + Electrical CAD design using tools like OrCAD and Allegro.

    + Familiarity with radiation effects on electronics and EEE parts plans.

    + Conduct electrical analyses such as worst-case, stress, and FMECA.

    + Design test equipment and generate electrical test plans/procedures.

    + Perform first unit debug and support.

    + Write test programs and scripts using Matlab, Simulink, or C.

    + Design products for operation in space or radiation environments.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with Cadence and OrCAD/Allegro for circuit board design.

    + Knowledge of power electronics, especially within the aerospace or automotive sector.

    + Experience with Gallium Nitride (GaN) components.

    + A strong background in analog electronics.

    + 5-10 years of experience in designing electronics or test support equipment for electronics.

    + Industry experience in space or other high-reliability/low SWaP applications is preferred.

    Work Environment

    This position requires onsite work. The team is friendly and collaborative, and the office is stocked weekly with drinks and snacks to create a welcoming environment. You will have the chance to lead a team of junior engineers without the formal title of 'manager' while working on cutting-edge in-flight computing technology. The role involves work on one of three product line sections: computer, power, or battery.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $72.00/hr.
