We're looking for a Piping Project Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. This is a hybrid position—ideal candidate will be located in Portland, Oregon, Tempe, Arizona, Moon Township, Pennsylvania or Boise, Idaho.
Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will develop and design a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial projects.
As a Piping Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Facilitating project execution for the piping discipline, including:
* Helping develop and execute a schedule that the design team can meet
* Reviewing resource allocation and coordinating to ensure our work meets our quality standards and fits within the project schedule
* Reporting on progress and adjusting plans to ensure project success
* Working with multi-disciplined team to plan and execute work in a cross-functional way
* Facilitate and lead meetings with stakeholders to align deliverables with client expectations and ensure project documentation for key assumptions
* Interfacing with key engineering disciplines, specifically process and mechanical engineering, pipe stress, and structural
* Ensuring proper Quality Assurance (QA) for layout and design of process and mechanical piping

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
* At least 5 years of experience working on manufacturing design projects as a discipline lead, project engineer, or project manager
Ideally, you’ll also have:
* Electronics industry experience (semiconductor)
* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
* Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
* Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD based software
