Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to support a variety of commercial construction projects. This role involves hands-on work across multiple phases of construction, including demolition, framework erection, concrete-related tasks, and interior finish installation. While specialized skills are valued, team members are expected to remain flexible and assist in multiple job site functions as needed.

Pay

**$18–$25 per hour** , based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities

+ Perform demolition work, earthwork, and site preparation

+ Assist with concrete placement and finishing when required

+ Measure, layout, and erect frameworks and structural components

+ Install ceilings, walls, and related interior assemblies

+ Perform basic welding tasks and signal equipment operators as needed

+ Safely and efficiently use common hand tools, including:

+ Tool pouch

+ Hammer

+ Tape measure

+ Speed square

+ Utility knife

+ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

+ Work collaboratively with crew members to meet project deadlines

Essential Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of **2+ years of carpentry or general construction experience**

+ **Ability to lift up to 50 lbs**

+ **Ability to work in varied weather conditions**

+ **Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation**

Work Environment

+ Primarily **commercial construction job sites**

+ **Required attire includes work boots, jeans, and t-shirts or sweatshirts**

+ **Team sizes typically range from 3–10 crew members**

+ **Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM**

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
