    Data Center Field Service Technician – Diesel Mechanic

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to maintain and repair diesel-powered equipment supporting data center and industrial operations. This role involves independent fieldwork at customer sites, ensuring equipment reliability through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostic inspections on diesel engines and equipment

    + Service and repair generators, compressors, forklifts, trucks, and heavy machinery

    + Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and exhaust systems

    + Replace components such as hoses, belts, filters, and batteries

    + Accurately complete digital service logs, repair reports, and work orders

    + Maintain safety compliance and a clean work area

    + Communicate professionally with customers and jobsite personnel

    + Participate in on-call rotations as required

    Qualifications

    + 3+ years of field service or diesel/heavy equipment experience

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    + Ability to read schematics, manuals, and diagnostic data

    + Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors

    + Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently

    Work Schedule & Environment

    + Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays

    + Two-person field crews

    + PPE required: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots

    This is a Permanent position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
