    Job Title: SMT Inventory Technician

    Job Description

    Client in Chester County, PA seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Technician skilled in handling Surface Mount Technology (SMT) for a 2-3 month contract, inventory management, and electronics. This role requires precision in managing various components and ensuring accurate inventory records while adhering to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols.

    Responsibilities

    + Count SMT reels and components, managing high quantities and multiple part numbers.

    + Cut tape, trays, and packaging while maintaining organization.

    + Verify and record part numbers, internal IDs, reel quantities, lot/date codes, and storage locations.

    + Label reels and storage locations as needed.

    + Enter counts into inventory systems such as ERP, spreadsheets, or internal trackers.

    + Identify and flag issues such as missing or unreadable labels, duplicate part numbers, unknown quantities on opened reels, and damaged packaging.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience handling SMT components including reels, cut tape, and trays.

    + Knowledge of ESD protocols and safe handling procedures for electronic components

    + Proficiency in reading and matching part numbers and labels, including small text and barcodes

    + Computer skills in Google Sheets, Excel, and simple data entry.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with SMT kitting, scanner, inventory systems, ERP systems, cycle counts, and soldering is a +.

    This is a Contract position based out of West Chester, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
