    Job Title: Order Picker** **Job Description

     

    As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for riding a sit-down forklift and picking orders off an invoice sheet. Your duties will include locating items, pulling them, and stacking them on a forklift. The role requires the operation of a sit-down forklift and reach truck. You may also load trailers and pack items for shipping. All items weigh 50 lbs. Additionally, you must be able to park tractor trailers, though a CDL is not required.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate a sit-down forklift and reach truck to pick orders.

    + Locate, pull, and stack items on a forklift.

    + Load trailers and pack items for shipping.

    + Park tractor trailers.

    + Work in cooler and freezer environments to pick orders.

    + Ensure accuracy and attention to detail when picking orders.

    Essential Skills

    + Sit-down forklift experience.

    + Experience with forklift, riding pallet jack, reach truck, and order picker.

    + Warehouse, material handling, and order picking experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work in cold temperatures.

    + Capacity to continuously lift 50 lbs throughout the shift.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Competitive spirit with self-motivation and independence.

    Work Environment

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
