    Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, particularly within industrial kitchen or manufacturing environments. The role involves maintaining and repairing industrial food processing and packaging machinery, with a strong emphasis on proactive maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial food processing and packaging machines.

    + Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.

    + Collaborate closely with the team to maintain a culture of teamwork and open communication.

    + Provide innovative solutions and feedback to improve equipment performance.

    + Assist team members and contribute positively to team dynamics.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in food manufacturing.

    + Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance on food manufacturing equipment.

    + Proficiency in electrical maintenance, particularly 12/24v troubleshooting and repair.

    + Experience with motors, pumps, conveyors, and industrial kitchen equipment.

    + Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal training.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with 480v equipment, sensors, PLCs, and labeling machines.

    + Familiarity with food equipment such as ovens, industrial kitchens, and multivac systems.

    + Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach to teamwork.

    Work Environment

    The role is based in a food processing plant specializing in sausages, with compliance to USDA standards. The environment is cold due to meat processing, with wet floors in some areas. Available shifts include: 1st shift from 5:30am to 2pm Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays, and 2nd shift from 1:30pm to 10pm. Candidates must be flexible with shift assignments.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
