Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and basic electrical experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment and facilities. This role requires hands-on experience with electrical systems, mechanical components, plumbing, and the safe use of power tools.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including outlets, switches, and wiring.

+ Work safely with electrical systems ranging from 40V to 480V, including 240V circuits.

+ Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, and other equipment.

+ Use hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and installations.

+ Perform basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and maintaining water systems.

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities.

+ Document maintenance activities and report issues promptly.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2–3 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.

+ Ability to replace outlets, troubleshoot circuits, and work with voltages up to 480V.

+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment repair.

+ Basic plumbing knowledge and experience.

+ Proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools.

+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

+ Strong problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Technical certification in a related field is preferred.

Work Environment

This position involves working in an indoor/outdoor galvanizing environment near heavy machinery, metals, and acids. The facility covers a 10-acre area and can be quite dirty. There are two shifts: 5am-1:30pm and 1:30pm-10pm. Training is provided on the first shift, but flexibility to work both shifts is required as adjustments are made based on company needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
