    Job Title: SMT Operator

    Job Description

    We are looking for a skilled SMT machine operator to join our team. This critical role involves operating multiple machines in the PCB production process, where your growth is dependent on the results you achieve. You will be responsible for following work instructions and training to ensure efficient operation.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate automatic and semi-automatic equipment such as solder paste stencil printers, robotic pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and PCB washers quickly and efficiently.

    + Set up machines and perform minor troubleshooting during operation.

    + Adhere to written work instructions for assembly processes.

    + Perform operator-level routine maintenance and communicate issues to area managers.

    + Review bills of materials and part numbers for accuracy.

    + Perform other duties as assigned, including hand-soldering, hardware assembly, and packaging for shipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in soldering and surface-mount technology (SMT).

    + Strong understanding of electronics and electronic assembly.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and perform microscope inspections.

    + Experience with wave soldering and circuit board processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous electronics or manufacturing experience is preferred.

    + A technical or technology degree is preferred.

    + Excellent attention to detail is essential.

    + Ability to follow training on multiple machines and systems.

    + Proficient in reading and differentiating between similar numbers in part numbering systems.

    + Ability to work independently without supervision.

    + Competence in reading and understanding component part markings and polarity.

    + Basic computer skills, including inputting part numbers and navigating user interfaces.

    Work Environment

     

    You will work in a climate-controlled manufacturing setting that is clean and organized. Individual workstations are available for performing tasks. The shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
