Responsibilities:

+ Maintain a safe workplace and work culture

+ Primary point of contact for contractors, truckers, and other external personnel as applicable

+ Meet budgeted production targets for both mining and stripping

+ Maintain environmental compliance

+ Manage data capture including but not limited to SAP inputs, timecard administration, EMS system, Blast reporting, etc.

+ Manage employee productivity, job performance, and overall production efficiencies within the quarry

+ Implement training plans to provide employees with the necessary training to perform their job safely and effectively

+ Review barriers identified during shift turn over meetings to develop and monitor action plans to overcome the obstacles

+ Verify procedures and work instructions are effective and being followed

+ Provide feedback to the maintenance team to support operational objectives

+ Ensure compliance with work instructions to define and control the production process

+ Execute Ore Control Program

Basic requirements** **:

+ Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

+ Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining environment

+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions

+ Understanding of basic workings of heavy equipment

+ Detail and process oriented with strong problem resolution abilities

+ Must be able to work in a team environment and willing and able to adapt to fast-paced changing environments

Necessary Knowledge and Skill:

+ Broad knowledge of safety programs and initiatives in areas such as

+ Incident investigation

+ Execution of training programs

+ Daily safety practices including inspections of workplaces and equipment

+ Participation in MSHA inspections

+ Execution of area specific safety initiative

+ Drilling, Blasting, Mobile Equipment operation preferred

+ Basic knowledge of mine planning and execution preferred

+ Resource allocation and scheduling
