Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk and Receiving Lead

Job Description

We are seeking two Shipping/Receiving Clerks and one Receiving Lead to join our team at a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA. The role requires working on the first shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime once training is completed. Compensation varies based on experience, with rates starting at $16.90 for no experience and up to $24 for lead experience.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure production schedule meets customer due dates.

+ Assist in processing production orders.

+ Perform quality assurance activities throughout all stages of production.

+ Receive and inspect customer products for processing.

+ Greet customers at the service counter.

+ Receive shipments from carriers such as UPS and FedEx.

+ Verify purchase orders including part numbers and quantities.

+ Conduct visual inspections for part damage and previous processing.

+ Verify part quantities and stage receiving shelves.

+ Maintain part identification and traceability.

+ Ensure paperwork is completed and maintained as required by internal procedures.

+ Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workflow of the receiving area.

+ Seek opportunities to learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.

Essential Skills

+ Bilingual in English and Spanish.

+ Strong professional communication skills.

+ Proficiency in basic Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

+ Excellent customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in shipping and receiving.

+ Knowledge in packaging, material handling, and inventory control.

+ Data entry proficiency.

+ Inspection and inventory management skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.90 - $24.00/hr.
