The Strategic Marketing Manager (SMM) is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for Carmeuse North America’s milled limestone products that are in alignment with corporate strategy, sales goals and objectives. The SMM will drive revenue & margin growth by identifying & developing go-to market strategy, evaluating new market opportunities & high potential prospects, maximizing wallet share of existing customers, and best positioning our product and solutions within the markets we serve. The SMM will work closely with Sales, Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Operations teams to develop & execute plans designed to guide focus, drive awareness, build trust, and increase sales across our operating region. This role will be charged with monitoring, measuring, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives as they relate to the overall company goals. The position will define strategy for the organization by identifying, analyzing & sharing market trends, new opportunities, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
Responsibilities & Duties:
+ Strategic Planning & Market Development
+ Develop extensive understanding of key markets for milled limestone products, including Animal Feed, Roofing, Glass and Flue Gas Treatment, utilizing this knowledge to create long-term organic & inorganic strategies steering growth.
+ Collaborate with Commercial management to develop & execute detailed marketing plans aligned with business objectives, which maximize existing customer relationships & support entry into new markets & geographies.
+ Support business growth & product development initiatives through market research to understand market needs, technology trends, market size and potential as well as business case creation to understand the market opportunity.
+ Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and competitive threats.
+ Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
+ Collaborate with Sales in the field building strong customer relationships, gathering voice of customer feedback, and translating those insights into actionable strategies that drive innovation, differentiation, and sustainable growth.
+ Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform & drive strategic decisions for the business.
+ Monitor industry trends, understand & educate the business on competitor positioning, and evaluate technological advancements impacting the Systems business.
+ Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product development and commercial strategy.
+ Go-to-Market Strategy
+ Define and implement go-to-market plans for new and existing solutions, including value propositions, pricing/margin strategies, and channel/distribution approaches.
+ Collaborate with sales team members to develop & execute detailed marketing plans, aligned with corporate objectives, to drive awareness, generate & develop new business, and maximize existing customer relationships
+ Develop sales enablement tools, presentations, and training materials to support commercial teams.
+ Brand & Positioning
+ Strengthen brand positioning in target markets through strategic messaging and thought leadership.
+ Partner with Marketing Communications team members to develop content strategies, campaigns, and digital assets that support brand awareness and lead generation.
+ Produce compelling value story materials including case studies, customer testimonials, videos and Presentations that best position our products & solutions to the market
Job Qualifications:
+ Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to build key relationships across, internal stakeholders & external partners & prospects.
+ Storytelling & presentation skills to build complex strategies and effectively communicate throughout multiple levels of the organization
+ 10+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Marketing, Business Development or Corporate Strategy
+ Experience in raw materials, with knowledge in of limestone application in asphalt shingle (roofing), animal feed, glass and/or flue gas treatment markets
+ Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
+ Ability to travel 25-50% within US & Canada

+ Annual Base Salary Range of $129,000 - $144,000
