This role requires weekend, holiday & morning availability. This is a full-time position with variable hours based on availability and business needs. Flexibility with scheduling is essential to meet the needs of our hotel operations.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license to meet the essential functions of the job.
JOB SUMMARY
The Valet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily valet parking operations to ensure safe, efficient, and courteous service for hotel guests. This role actively participates in valet duties, including driving guest vehicles and operating a company-owned shuttle van, while coordinating the shift’s workflow, supporting fellow valets to ensure seamless traffic movement and guest satisfaction. The Valet Supervisor ensures exceptional guest experience and compliance with hotel policies and safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Supervise and coordinate daily valet parking operations, including vehicle parking, retrieval, and shuttle services.
+ Personally park and retrieve guest vehicles in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
+ Operate a company-owned shuttle van to transport guests to and from designated locations as needed.
+ Ensure all vehicles are handled carefully and in accordance with established safety procedures.
+ Occasionally provide any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain overall cleanliness of communal hotel areas and other areas. Duties may include but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows.
+ Lead, train, and coach valet staff on customer service standards, safety protocols, and job performance.
+ Monitor traffic flow at the hotel entrance to maintain safety and efficiency.
+ Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and service recovery issues promptly and professionally.
+ Enforce hotel policies, cash handling procedures, and appearance standards, and maintain a hospitable service atmosphere at all times.
+ Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate operational updates to the valet team.
+ Perform basic administrative tasks such as promptly answer valet phones, assist guests with check-in procedures, and complete applicable incident reporting and shift documentation.
+ Report maintenance deficiencies, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
OTHER DUTIES
+ Assist other hotel departments as needed to support overall guest satisfaction.
+ Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
+ Actively participate in and contributes into any/all initiatives when requested and/or required.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Minimum of one year of valet parking, transportation, or related guest service experience required.
+ Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
+ Experience driving automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
+ Experience operating a shuttle van or similar vehicle preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
+ Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a hospitality-focused mindset.
+ Ability to safely operate a wide variety of vehicles, including luxury and oversized vehicles.
+ Knowledge of traffic control, parking procedures, and vehicle safety practices.
+ Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Ability to handle guest concerns calmly and professionally.
+ Basic math skills and ability to follow cash handling procedures if applicable.
+ Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
+ Familiarity with local area routes and points of interest preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

+ Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift. This includes frequent running or "power walking" to retrieve vehicles quickly to maintain service standards.
+ Frequent bending, reaching, pivoting, and stooping to enter and exit various vehicle types (from low-profile sports cars to large SUVs).
+ Precision in handling various types of keys and fobs, as well as operating both automatic and manual (stick-shift) transmissions.
+ Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry guest luggage, boxes, or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
+ Sharp distance and peripheral vision to navigate tight parking garages, identify vehicle damage, and maintain safety in high-traffic areas.
+ Constant exposure to outdoor elements, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
+ Working in areas with high vehicle and pedestrian traffic, requiring constant situational awareness to prevent accidents.
+ Frequent exposure to car exhaust fumes and high noise levels (engines, horns, and city traffic).
+ The environment fluctuates between calm and extreme "rushes" (e.g., check-in/check-out peaks or large events) where multitasking is critical.
+ Maintaining a crisp, professional uniform and positive demeanor despite physical exertion or inclement weather.
