Job Description
The Director, Data Governance responsible for establishing and overseeing the Federated Data Governance framework across the enterprise Data Mesh. This role is critical in ensuring that while clinical and business domains maintain autonomy over their data, the overall ecosystem remains secure, compliant (specifically with HIPAA), interoperable, and trustworthy.
Job Responsibility
+ Directs the collaborative development and ongoing optimization of the Health System Data Lake and Data Governance.
+ Guides the strategic design of the data lake to accommodate from various business applications.
+ Oversees a technical team in support of carrying out the health system data lake and governance strategy.
+ Leads the Data Lake & Governance team by group by communication with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
+ Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
+ Develops and monitors strategic operating goals, objectives and budget; reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action; develops and oversees financial management including budget, salary, capital, and revenue projections.
+ Manages provider database and ensures system data entry, modifications, and terminations; defines the process to support end-user needs; maintains an accurate application inventory.
+ Ensures IT maintains the infrastructure, network, key applications, desktop support and proper disaster recovery procedures; participates in applicable education and relationship activities to support end users.
+ Oversees management, tracking, and reporting of hotline and email activity; responsible for maintaining accuracy of large group rosters; assess and collect annual dues.
+ Collaborates with third party vendor to ensure Physician Partners' providers are rostered in an efficient manner; supports the team in transmission of rosters to payers for linkage to organizational managed care contracts.
+ Oversees Salesforce CRM tool as it relates to credentialing, enrollment, and onboarding of new providers.
+ Validates integrity and performs Quality Assurance of provider demographic, billing, plan participation and other relevant information on a semi-annual basis; ensures timely resolution of Employee Plan inquiries and claims adjudication issues.
+ Develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; provides orientation and training of new staff; identifies staff training needs, develops action plans and related materials, and implements training.
+ Ensures adequate scheduling and assigns responsibilities to ensure an equitable distribution of work; builds and maintains productive inter/intra departmental and vendor work relationships to optimize operations; oversees compliance with government and agency regulations.
+ Responsible for implementing Alation, our Data Governance Platform

Job Qualification
+ Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
+ 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7 - 10 years of leadership / management experience, required.Highly Preferred
+ Proven expertise implementing a Federated Governance model or Data Mesh framework within a complex, multi-domain environment.
+ Experience with Alation highly preferred, OR Collibra, Informatica or other Data Governance platforms
+ Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
+ Experience managing Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for large-scale data initiatives.
+ Experience with Data Quality checks with ETLs/ELTs and also with the Data Governance platform

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $166500-$291400/year
