**Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers the Microsoft Cloud.** With more than 95% of Fortune 500 business on Azure, 180 million using Office 365, and millions using other services – all running on Microsoft's cloud infrastructure – CO+I builds and operates the foundation upon which Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and organization comes to life.CO+I is **responsible for the entire Microsoft datacenter delivery lifecycle** , from planning to acquisition, pre-construction, construction and deployment to managing day-to-day operations and datacenter decommissioning.We operate one of the largest cloud networks on the planet - comprised of more than 400 datacenters across 70+ Azure regions, networked together with more than 600K kilometers of fiber.

As a **Technical Program Manager Intern for CO+I** , you will design product architecture and develop solutions to complex technical needs, while identifying trends in product quality and performance, to deliver on the roadmap. You will drive continuous improvement in quality, profitability, supportability and delivery, and act as in-house advocate for millions of people worldwide who use Microsoft products. This opportunity will allow you to lead the development and implementation process for products and services that exceed customer expectations, work cross functionally with internal and external partners, and define or change existing features.

Responsibilities

+ Lead the development and implementation process for products and services typically involving large, complex cross-functional implementation with multiple internal teams or external partners.

+ Responsible for specific features in our technology solutions for the full product cycle, working on the initial feature planning and design, managing the specifications of development, and monitoring on-going operations to better understand customer experiences.

+ Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure our products exceed customer expectations, while delivering on the roadmap.

+ Communicate throughout the process to understand progress towards delivery, technical challenges, and to provide clarity on customer needs using a data driven approach.

+ Demonstrate an ability to learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes to leverage in your solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Candidate must be enrolled in a full time bachelor's or masters program in an area relevant for the role during the academic term immediately before their internship.

+ Must have at least one semester or term of school remaining following the completion of the internship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 1+ year(s) of academic or practical exposure to dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) technology/optical networking

+ 1+ year(s) of academic or practical exposure to data management / data assimilation and reporting

+ 1+ year(s) of academic or practical exposure to supply chain/capacity management/demand fundamentals

The base pay range for this internship is USD $5610.00 - $11010.00 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $7270.00 - $12030.00 per month.
